About The Position

Regeneron is seeking a Senior Director, Insights & Analytics (I&A) - Rare Disease to join our team! In this role, a typical day might include: The Senior Director, Insights and Analytics (I&A) Rare Disease role is a strategic leadership position responsible for driving insights and analytics strategies for the Rare Disease Commercial Business Unit (CBU). Reporting to the Vice President of Commercial Strategy and I&A, this individual will drive innovation, optimize commercial performance, and collaborate across teams to deliver impactful solutions for rare disease therapies. Leading a lean team, this individual will operate as a player-coach, setting the strategic direction while also rolling up their sleeves to personally develop and execute key analyses, provide hands-on support for critical projects, and ensure the delivery of high-quality insights. This individual must be a highly collaborative and customer-oriented leader with the ability to influence at the strategic level, drive data and analytics capabilities to business priorities, and deliver high-quality analytical solutions with agility. Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor's degree (masters preferred) with 15+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech commercial experience, in roles of increasing accountability; prior experience with market-leading brands required
  • 5+ years management experience including I&A groups with responsibility for analytics, HCP and consumer/patient insights, market access analytics, and competitive intelligence.
  • Expertise in rare disease conditions with low-prevalence populations and significant unmet medical needs, including familiarity with diagnostic challenges, patient advocacy landscapes, and evolving regulatory pathways for rare disease therapies.
  • In-depth knowledge and data mining experience using secondary subnational prescription and sales data. Experience with longitudinal patient, specialty pharmacy/ hub data strongly preferred. Familiarity with frequently used pharma data sources (IQVIA, Symphony, etc.)
  • Experience in resource optimization, commercial mix modeling or alignment, targeting, and call planning.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to persuasively convey ideas and data verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to think strategy to execution, with hands-on experience in implementing large initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, project management, influencing, and change management skills.
  • Coach, mentor and develop team members. Familiarity with a competency framework for goal-setting and people development

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight while actively developing and maintaining key reporting and analytics tailored to the challenges of rare disease portfolio management.
  • Personally ensure insights and analytics strategies align with asset-specific needs, addressing diagnostic gaps and high unmet medical needs.
  • Directly lead and perform the creation of standard and ad hoc analytics, reporting, and actionable insights for rare disease brands, reflecting distinct market dynamics.
  • Foster innovative solutions and a design-thinking approach that address the complexities of rare diseases such as small patient populations, evolving regulatory requirements, and patient advocacy considerations.
  • Assess and implement novel methodologies and frameworks that address rare disease challenges, such as identifying meaningful insights for rare disease patient journeys, improving diagnostic pathways, and enhancing brand differentiation throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Actively mentor and develop team members, providing hands on guidance to cultivate expertise in rare disease analytics and leadership skills.
  • Present analytics ideas, progress, and results to business partners; simplify complex analytic approaches for stakeholders and make them actionable.
  • Build and maintain a collaborative partnership with Rare Disease CBU stakeholders to ensure insight generation and feedback are embraced, striking a balance between project rigor, timelines, and ability to influence decisions.
  • Work hands-on with Data Management and Incentive Compensation team to support integrated business planning for sales teams, ensuring alignment with unique market access challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams/vendors to coordinate cross-functional analysis, data acquisition, and patient advocacy insights.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and privacy requirements related to data assets, including the handling of sensitive patient data and adherence to evolving standards.
  • Work with CSI&A leaders to develop standardized adoption of capabilities such as marketing mix, promotional optimization, data science, market structure analysis, patient/treatment flow modeling, analog modeling and ML/AI methodologies across I&A.
  • Develop and operationalize diagnostic funnel and patient journey models specific to rare disease indications, focusing on the unique challenges of disease awareness, diagnosis, and treatment pathways.
  • Formulate key questions about commercial performance, initiate targeted analytics, and propose and operationalize solutions that address the distinct needs.
  • Conduct sub-national growth drivers analyses, working closely with market access and data science teams to build local resource allocation models and pull through strategies that address disparities in care.
  • Support integrated business planning for sales teams, ensuring alignment with diagnostic challenges and patient access hurdles in collaboration with data management and incentive compensation teams.
  • Provide targeting and segmentation support to ensure field force efforts are optimized and in alignment with brand strategies.
  • Oversee and deliver next best action models and HCP 360 view for field force and reimbursement management, supporting strategic decision-making and patient access initiatives.
