About The Position

The Senior Director of Infrastructure Technology & Operations at PPL Corporation is responsible for overseeing infrastructure solutions, automation of infrastructure services, and technology operations. This role involves managing the operational support and maintenance of data, digital, and technology products and applications, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals, and driving improvements in IT infrastructure standards and processes. The position is hybrid, requiring presence in local offices in Allentown, PA; Louisville, KY; or Providence, RI.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related degree
• 15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations
• Extensive experience with data center management, networking, cloud services, and cybersecurity
• Understanding of IT infrastructure components and best practices
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies
• Ability to align IT transformation initiatives with overall business strategy

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree or relevant certifications
• Utilities industry experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, scheduling, testing, and deploying of applications and product releases into operational environments (e.g., cloud, on-premises infrastructure)
• Ensure proper management and maintenance of end-user device solutions
• Manage the operational support and maintenance of data, digital, and technology products and applications
• Oversee day-to-day infrastructure activities and long-term strategic initiatives
• Continually improve IT Infrastructure standards, policies, processes, and procedures
• Drive architectural improvements and standardization for IT infrastructure environments and services
• Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of Infrastructure/Operations solutions
• Accountable for full Technology Asset Lifecycle Management
• Oversee technical assistance for employees regarding technology, software, and hardware issues
• Ensure technology product and service users' issues are captured, tracked, and resolved
• Manage and improve the end-user experience with Technology products, platforms, and services
