The Head of Broad-Based Compensation leads the design, delivery, and execution of Versant's global compensation programs below the executive level. This role oversees salary structure design, job architecture, merit planning, incentive program governance, and compensation benchmarking, ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness. The ideal candidate combines technical depth with business acumen and can flex between strategy and hands-on program delivery.

  • Design and manage global salary ranges, job leveling frameworks, and pay structures
  • Lead annual merit, promotion, and incentive planning cycles in partnership with HR Ops and People Partners
  • Partner with Finance and business leaders to review and enhance short-term incentive programs for non-executives
  • Oversee market benchmarking, survey participation, and job matching methodology
  • Advise HRBPs on compensation-related inquiries and offers
  • Maintain consistent job architecture and compensation practices across business units and countries
  • Ensure compliance with global pay transparency laws and audit processes
  • Manage compensation analyst supporting modeling, benchmarking, and compensation planning
  • Foster a high-performing, collaborative, and analytical team culture
  • 8-10+ years of compensation experience, including global program design
  • Strong expertise in salary structure design, job leveling, and benchmarking methodology
  • Experience with compensation planning systems
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills
  • Previous experience supporting IPO readiness or scaling comp programs preferred
