About The Position
The Sr Director Hardware Development is part of the Active Implantable Systems Research & Development organization within Boston Scientific. This role is responsible for the development of life sustaining and life enhancing implantable systems across multiple businesses within Boston Scientific, including Cardiac Rhythm Management, Cardiac Diagnostics, and Urology. The candidate selected for this role will lead a growing organization to drive technology & product development efforts across a broad portfolio of implantable medical device systems. Reporting into the Vice President of R&D, this role is based in Arden Hills, MN. The individual selected will lead a diverse team of engineers, technicians and support staff located in Minnesota, California, Ireland and Costa Rica. Functional responsibilities for the team include the full Electrical and Mechanical design/development lifecycle for all HDW needed to support Active Implantable Systems. The role collaborates closely with other functions involved in the development process, including other R&D functions, Marketing, Program Management, Quality, Clinical, Regulatory, Process Development, and Operations.
