The Senior Director, Global Events is responsible for orchestrating high-impact global sales, partner, customer success, and other CRO-driven events that elevate our brand, foster meaningful relationships, and drive measurable business outcomes for projects assigned. Reporting directly to the VP of Global Events, this role offers the unique opportunity to work as a team to shape PTC’s global presence by creating strategic, innovative, and compelling event experiences that resonate across diverse markets and regions. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience planning and managing global enterprise technology companies, and a proven track record supporting global go-to-market (GTM) teams. As a member of the Global Events team, they will participate in the planning and execution of bold event strategies and deliver flawless execution across multiple regions. They will also champion team culture and productivity, consistently fostering a “One Team” mentality, collaborating, and build relationships with cross-functional groups within the business. With a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage large-scale, complex programs, they will ensure that every touchpoint on various program types.

Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive event management experience, supporting global GTM teams within a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Collaborate: Proven ability to lead a project, collaborate, fostering creativity, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Creativity: Demonstrated ability to develop innovative event concepts, experiential elements, and storytelling frameworks that elevate brand presence and drive attendee engagement.
  • Execution Excellence: Extensive experience managing complex, multi-regional events from inception to completion, consistently delivering high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence and partner effectively with senior executives and global teams.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of global event trends, best practices, technologies, and measurement frameworks that enhance attendee experience and business impact.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Event Strategy and Execution: Lead the development, planning, and execution of event strategies that align with PTC’s GTM initiatives, ensuring successful delivery of global sales and partner events such as the Global GTM Kickoff, GTM President’s Club, FastStart Incentives and other executive-level programs as assigned.
  • Global Event Management: Oversee end-to-end planning, logistics, and execution of high-impact global sales events, partner summits. Key member of the team developing hype campaigns to motivate and promote incentives.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Communications, Commercial Operations, Sales, and other key stakeholders to ensure event goals align with broader business priorities and that messaging is consistent and compelling.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage multi-million-dollar event budgets with discipline, ensuring resources are optimized to deliver maximum ROI while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Performance Metrics: Define, monitor, and report on key event performance indicators (KPIs), providing data-driven insights and recommendations to the VP of Global Events to drive continuous improvement.
  • Vendor and Venue Management: Develop and maintain strong vendor, venue, and third-party partner relationships, ensuring high-quality delivery, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to timelines and service-level expectations.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks across planning and execution, implementing proactive mitigation strategies while ensuring compliance with corporate policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
  • Technology & Innovation: Lead the exploration and implementation of innovative event technologies that enhance engagement, operational efficiency, and measurement.
