The Senior Director of Global Security will direct the development and implementation of an effective global security strategy and program to mitigate risk and safeguard the organization's human assets, intellectual property, integrity, reputation, and physical assets. This role is crucial in executing daily management of the Global Security program to align with corporate objectives and address all aspects of security for the organization's global businesses. The Senior Director will be responsible for creating and managing the global security budget for annual operational and capital expenditures, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet security needs across all locations. In addition to budget management, the Senior Director will establish and implement security systems and safeguards for asset protection, intellectual property protection, and employee safety at both domestic and international locations. This includes overall responsibility for the company's Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), which involves situational awareness monitoring and reporting, traveler monitoring and safety, CCTV and alarm management, and other related duties. The role also requires direct enhancement of the executive protection and event security programs, ensuring that high-profile events and personnel are adequately protected. The Senior Director will participate as a senior leader in the company's supply chain security council and will be responsible for the continuous improvement of the global security program, including policies, objectives, budgets, plans, procedures, and schedules. Periodic assessments of the program will be conducted through quality control audits, work standard reviews, and performance evaluations to ensure uniformity and effectiveness. The role demands the development and implementation of a global security process that assesses current threats, vulnerabilities, and consequences, aligning protection goals and objectives with corporate strategic objectives and company culture. Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations globally is a key responsibility, along with staying informed about current trends in the security industry. The Senior Director will consult with third-party security firms as needed to leverage their expertise and will develop a strategic direction for the Corporate Security program that engages internal customers and provides leadership for all team members responsible for protecting the company's assets. An all-employee security awareness training program will also be developed to enhance the overall security culture within the organization. Collaboration with various departments such as Real Estate and Facilities, Legal, Human Resources, Global Compliance, Risk Management, EHS, Internal Audit, Finance, and Global Information Systems is essential to provide thorough analysis of security risks and develop appropriate mitigating strategies. The Senior Director will maintain professional relationships with all levels of company employees, key vendors, and serve as a liaison with public law enforcement and other agencies related to security efforts. Additionally, the role involves participating in and/or conducting investigations related to fraud, theft, and workplace violence, as well as taking a leadership role in corporate crisis management and emergency response teams.
