We are OMD, Cannes Lions 2024 Media Network of the Year, RECMA's Best-Performing Media Network Globally, and COMvergence's #1 Global Agency Network. As the world’s largest media network, with more than 12,000 people working in over 100 countries, we excel at making better decisions, faster. By combining innovation, creativity, empathy, and evidence, we help clients move faster, reach further, and take smarter risks in a world full of opportunities We pride ourselves on being a people-obsessed, outcomes-focused business that applies evidence and data-based solutions, married with the practice of empathy, to drive performance and growth. When working with our clients, we put ourselves in the shoes of the consumer in order to see the world through their eyes. We focus on finding greater empathy with the consumer so as to uncover insights and opportunities that deliver more valued and valuable connections. The Senior Director, Global Business Operations is responsible for translating global strategy into consistent, scalable execution across the client’s global enablement agenda. This role serves as a central operator and connector, partnering with global capability leads, regional teams, and operations stakeholders to ensure work is clearly scoped, governed, delivered, and adopted in markets. Acting as a trusted partner and day‑to‑day operational lead to the Global Business Lead, this role installs the transformation frameworks, operating discipline, and governance mechanisms that allow complex global priorities to move forward with clarity and momentum. The Senior Director does not own all execution directly, but operates independently to drive alignment, document decisions, surface risks, and maintain accountability across the define, align, deploy, and optimize phases of work. The scope and impact of this role are expected to evolve as the global operating model matures.

Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years in global business operations, program leadership, or transformation roles within a matrixed, multinational organization.
  • Operational Leadership: Demonstrated ability to build and run operating models, governance structures, and execution frameworks that scale across regions and capabilities.
  • Program Management Expertise: Strong track record managing complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders, timelines, and interdependencies, while maintaining momentum and accountability.
  • Executive Partnership: Experience working closely with senior leaders as a thought partner and operator—providing structure, follow‑through, and clear operational guidance without requiring day‑to-day oversight.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex work into clear actions, decisions, and outcomes.
  • Tools & Systems: Comfort working with project management tools, shared workflows, and reporting platforms (Microsoft 365, planning tools, dashboards).

  • Strong bias toward execution, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to influence without authority in complex stakeholder environments.
  • Comfortable operating in fast‑paced, evolving global contexts.
  • Interest in workflow optimization, automation, and scalable operating models

Responsibilities

  • Transformation Frameworks & Operating Model Enablement
  • Support the design, documentation, and evolution of end‑to-end transformation frameworks that scale across capabilities, markets, and deliverables.
  • Enable the rollout and ongoing refinement of global media processes and ways of working (including OnePEP‑aligned practices, where applicable) to ensure consistency and clarity across regions.
  • Partner with capability leaders to align on operating assumptions, roles, decision rights, and handoffs as the operating model matures.
  • Support operating model evolution and redesign, facilitating updates to structures and workflows to improve agility and long‑term effectiveness.
  • Define and support change‑management protocols, including sequencing, communications, and adoption tracking to ensure transformation initiatives land effectively in markets.
  • Process, Workflow & Governance
  • Define, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Service‑Level Agreements (SLAs) governing delivery timelines, review cycles, and cross‑team handoffs.
  • Establish and support governance forums and cadence checkpoints to monitor progress, adoption, risks, and dependencies.
  • Maintain clarity on roles and responsibilities (RACI) across global, regional, and market teams to reduce duplication and ambiguity.
  • Partner with Data, Technology, and Tools teams to embed processes into platforms, workflows, and project‑management systems.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce low‑value work through process refinement, automation, and AI‑enabled workflows.
  • Execution Tracking & Continuous Operational Improvement
  • Drive day‑to-day execution tracking for priority initiatives, ensuring milestones, dependencies, and risks are visible and actively managed.
  • Proactively surface issues, escalate blockers, and document decisions to maintain momentum and enable timely leadership actions.
  • Lead Continuous Operational Improvement (COI) reporting, consolidating learnings, identifying recurring challenges, and tracking progress against best practices.
  • Capture and institutionalize insights from deployment phases to inform future optimization and scalability.
  • Network Connectivity & Market Enablement
  • Act as a connector across planning, investment, data, technology, finance, and operations to ensure consistent global‑to-global and global‑to-regional collaboration.
  • Strengthen network connectivity and acceleration through structured forums, touchpoints, and shared communication channels.
  • Stand up and support the Client’s Business Success Forums that align markets on performance, share best practices, and resolve operational barriers collectively.
  • Support anchor‑market engagement by ensuring visibility into global priorities, timelines, and expectations, while translating global initiatives into practical market‑level actions that drive adoption.
  • Leadership & Collaboration
  • Operate as a close, day‑to-day operational partner to senior business and capability leadership, providing structure, follow‑through, and executional clarity.
  • Balance independence with alignment, ensuring leadership is informed without being pulled into tactical oversight.
  • Support and mentor junior or matrixed operations resources as needed to extend execution capacity and consistency.
