GEICO is seeking an exceptional Senior Director of Product Management for Foundations & Platforms to define and execute the enterprise-wide strategy for the core technologies that power the company. This leader will oversee an extensive portfolio—including PaaS platforms, infrastructure services, cybersecurity platforms, enterprise IT, data platforms, SRE capabilities, developer experience tooling, and workforce productivity solutions (M365, Slack, Zoom, etc.)—and will shape how GEICO builds, secures, operates, and scales technology. As a transformational leader, the Senior Director will leverage AI, automation, analytics, and platform engineering to enhance engineering velocity, system reliability, cybersecurity posture, operational efficiency, and employee productivity. This role requires a visionary who can unify platform strategy across domains, eliminate friction through data-driven insights, and create foundation technologies that are intuitive, resilient, secure, and optimized for both human and machine workflows. This leader will directly influence GEICO’s ability to innovate and compete by ensuring its foundational platforms enable rapid delivery, reliable systems, and empowered teams.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Vision Set the enterprise vision for Foundations & Platforms, spanning PaaS, infrastructure, cybersecurity, SRE, developer experience, data platforms, and productivity tooling.
  • Embed AI-driven automation and intelligence into platform strategies to improve efficiency, reliability, and user experience.
  • Data-Driven Platform Optimization Use data, AI insights, telemetry, and feedback to identify friction, accelerate engineering productivity, enhance system reliability, and strengthen enterprise security and collaboration.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, security, data, and business leaders to deliver cohesive, scalable platform capabilities that align with enterprise priorities.
  • Partner with cybersecurity and SRE teams to ensure platforms are secure, resilient, and operationally excellent.
  • Roadmap Ownership & Value Delivery Define and drive a unified product roadmap across Foundation domains, ensuring investments create measurable impact on speed, reliability, security, and workforce productivity.
  • Outcome Measurement Establish and track key platform KPIs across reliability, performance, adoption, developer productivity, and collaboration effectiveness; continuously refine strategies to exceed enterprise objectives.
