Position Overview The Senior Director Finance will serve as a key finance partner across the organization, driving strategic planning, capital allocation, and financial decision-making in collaboration with senior leadership. This role will help shape long-term business strategy and ensuring financial plans align with company-wide objectives. The Senior Director will lead a team of finance professionals, delivering insights and recommendations that influence budgeting, forecasting, and performance management. The role plays a critical part in headcount and resource planning, identifying operational efficiencies, and supporting cross-functional initiatives. This position engages regularly with executive stakeholders—including the CFO and CEO—to inform strategic decisions and support scalable, profitable growth.

Requirements

  • Strong business judgment with the ability to analyze trade-offs, assess risks, and make data-driven decisions that align with strategic objectives
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, including experience developing and maintaining headcount, labor, and resource allocation models
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights for cross-functional and executive audiences
  • Proven ability to influence decision-making and collaborate effectively across functions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Results-oriented with a high level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
  • Excellent planning, prioritization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines and evolving priorities
  • Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including non-finance professionals
  • Proficient in leveraging financial systems, BI tools, and automation to enhance efficiency and scalability of analysis and reporting
  • Growth mindset with a continuous improvement approach to processes, tools, and team development
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • 12+ years in a similar role in a high growth public company environment?
  • 8+ years leadership experience
  • Experience working with C-suite executives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively develop planning calendars and meet deadlines
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, familiarity with NetSuite, Anaplan and Salesforce preferred

  • CFA, CPA or MBA strongly desired?
  • Experience supporting Human Capital Management (HCM) or Spend Management industry a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the company’s annual financial plan, including ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
  • Develop and refine key business metrics and dashboards to monitor company performance, uncover growth opportunities, and drive strategic decision-making across the organization
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver actionable financial analyses and insights that support strategic initiatives, capital allocation, and resource planning
  • Provide strategic and financial leadership across departments or functions, introducing innovative approaches to solve complex challenges and improve financial outcomes
  • Prepare and present financial results and strategic insights to executive leadership, including CFO and CEO
  • Leverage financial systems, automation, and technology to enhance the scalability, accuracy, and efficiency of planning and reporting workflows
  • Build and manage a high-performing finance team, with responsibility for performance management, hiring, coaching, and succession planning
  • Operate with strong organizational skills and a proactive mindset to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Maintain a hands-on, detail-oriented approach while driving high-level impact on enterprise-wide initiatives
