About The Position

The Senior Director- Finance Core Technology is a strategic role responsible for overseeing the technical architecture, design, solutioning, implementation and ongoing support of Cloud ERP, EPM, CX, CPQ platforms and integrated ecosystem. This role acts as a bridge between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring the Cloud finance platform effectively supports business operations and objectives. This role involves leading projects, providing technical expertise, and collaborating with global technology, business stakeholders and vendor partners to ensure scalable, efficient, and secure Cloud ERP, EPM, CX, CPQ that align with business goals. This position requires high technical proficiency to ensure the efficient functioning of financial systems, data integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborating closely with finance leaders and IT professionals, you will drive innovation, streamline workflows, and leverage technology to enhance financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making. The Senior director will lead a high- performing team of architects and engineers and oversee vendor relationships to ensure best in class Cloud Financials delivery.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certifications.
  • 10+ years overall work experience in Information Technology, application development or similar relevant experience including:
  • 8+ years of experience leading and supporting large scale Cloud ERP, EPM, CX, CPQ implementations.
  • 8+ years of leading technology solutioning and design for Oracle cloud ERP, EPM, CX and CPQ implementations.
  • 8+ years of proven progressive experience as an ERP engineer with cloud experience who has evolved into technical lead, technical architect and eventually to technical leadership roles.
  • 8+ years of experience as a technical architect implementing Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, EPM, CX, CPQ systems, with a wide capability range.
  • Strong expertise with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and other cloud native technologies and infrastructure frameworks including Oracle integration cloud (OIC), adapters/connectors, REST API’s, BIP, FBDI, Kafka/OSS and other event driven integrations and file-based interfaces.
  • Strong knowledge of integration patterns like event-driven, synchronous vs asynchronous, canonical data models, error handling, retries, reprocessing and monitoring.
  • Detailed and hands-on experience with DevOps and automation: CI/CD pipelines for ERP artifacts (OIC, VBCS, Reports), GIT based version control, containerization and automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience with agentic AI frameworks including prompt engineering, RAG models, API and integration frameworks that use MCP and Agent2Agent protocols.
  • Experience with full stack development and composable architecture.
  • Experience with VBCS/Visual Builder, Page Composer, Groovy Scripting, Object workflows.
  • Strong experience integrating Cloud ERP, EPM with 3rd party systems (banks, tax engines, Coupa, legacy applications etc.).
  • Deep understanding of RBAC, job roles vs duty roles, data security policies and SOD controls.
  • Knowledge of Oracle cloud ERP best practices.
  • Business process knowledge in common ERP Cloud modules including but not limited to General Ledger, Cash Management, Projects, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, Oracle Accounting Hub and related applications.
  • Prior experience working with finance and engineering to drive and implement technology solutions for end-to-end processes.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to finance and technology (e.g., GDPR, SOX, PCI-DSS).
  • Ability to review and manage usage, licensing, and costs with vendor platforms.
  • Ability to learn modern technologies and adopt new technologies to streamline and simplify processes, keep related systems in sync and maintain data parity across an integrated ecosystem.
  • Strong communication skills with a passion for mentoring and guiding diverse teams through strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Solution Architecture and Design
  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Leading the process of translating functional requirements for Cloud ERP/EPM solutions to technical design and development.
  • Technical Architecture: Creating future state technical architecture for the finance platform that includes Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, EPM, CX, CPQ, any PAAS extensions and integrations with external systems. Creating a configuration vs extension framework and Quarterly patching and regression strategy.
  • Integration and Data Management: Managing data conversion and integration strategies, ensuring seamless integration with other systems, and maintaining data integrity within Cloud ERP, EPM, CX and other offerings.
  • Best practices and Standards: Create ERP architecture principles and best practices, Naming conventions and versioning, Security and data flow diagrams, technical design documents.
  • Implementation and Integration
  • Define integration architecture using middleware solutions like Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  • Oversee data migration and transformation strategies during Cloud ERP implementation.
  • Collaborate with developers and functional team members to implement custom extensions using PaaS architecture as needed.
  • Security and Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices, including identify and access management (IAM) data encryption, and role-based access controls.
  • Work with broader global technology and internal audit teams on technical implementation of system and IT general controls.
  • Optimization and Support
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve performance and user experience with Cloud ERP and EPM
  • Stay updated and implement platform updates, patches and emerging cloud technology including AI capabilities.
  • Provide guidance for troubleshooting issues and incorporating system enhancements per user requests.
  • Implementing and Managing Continuous Improvement Program
  • Drives adoption of Cloud ERP/EPM and integrated technology ecosystem for Finance and enterprise users.
  • Creatively develop metrics to measure system performance, uptime, and reliability.
  • Demonstrates continuous improvement through metrics of quality consistency and end user satisfaction.
  • Works with application development service providers, IT teams, and business partners to implement continuous improvement activities.
  • IT Governance
  • Follows all defined IR standards and processes (i.e., IT Governance, SM&G, Architecture, etc.), and provides input for improvements to the appropriate process owners as needed.
  • Maintains a proper balance between business and operational risk.
  • Follows the defined project management standards and processes.
  • Service Provider, COTS, and Custom Application Management
  • Lead prioritization meetings with stakeholders and drive resolution of changes through the process for portfolio of supported applications
  • Coordinate and track the delivery of highly visible operational activities/problems.
  • Validates that Service Providers and internal teams develop and manage respective aspects of a project plan, including schedules, deliverables, and appropriate metrics.
  • Makes short term plans for the team to effectively utilize resources.
  • Monitors Service Provider and internal team’s outcomes.
  • Project Management: Leading and managing Oracle ERP/EPM implementation and upgrade projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring project progress. Ability to plan, execute, and manage projects effectively, including risk management and stakeholder communication.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Developing and executing test scripts, coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensuring the quality and functionality of the Oracle ERP/EPM system.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicating with business stakeholders, IT teams, and other relevant parties to ensure alignment and successful implementation.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving complex issues related to Cloud ERP/EPM systems.
  • Staying Updated: Keeping abreast of the latest Cloud ERP/EPM features, updates, and best practices to ensure the system remains optimized and aligned with business needs.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members and other stakeholders on functional aspects of the Cloud ERP/EPM systems.
