About The Position

The Senior Director Enterprise Architecture will be responsible for working with senior business and digital leaders on the strategic evolution of technology roadmaps (across global functions) - Ensuring alignment with senior leaders (capital funding), business objectives and technology standards. This position is responsible to understand business processes (supported across functions and technology platforms), continuously evaluate technology trends and work with senior business leaders to define roadmaps which support short/long-term objectives (including process re-engineering, standardization, growth and cost efficiency). The incumbent plays a key leadership role in strategic cross-functional projects - Solving business problems and advancing the organization’s strategic objectives. He/She will lead the Business Relationship Managers, Technology Advisors and Solution Architects who support multiple business functions to plan and prioritize global demand, understand complex cross-functional business opportunities and offer solutions. Job Duties / Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Architects and executes technology strategy across Goodyear's global enterprise. Partners with senior business and digital leaders to drive strategic technology evolution aligned with business objectives and technology standards. Reduces technology debt across ERP, CRM, integration, and PLM platforms. Establishes AI-first architecture principles. Eliminates process waste through standardization. Works with members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and senior business leaders (globally) to align technology solutions with business strategies. Advises leadership on technologies which can solve cross-functional and complex business problems to advance the enterprise. Creates/Evolves a five to ten-year technology roadmap in support of global functional objectives and work with senior leadership to secure funding. Platform Strategy and Modernization: Leads next-generation ERP migration and defines target architecture integrating enterprise systems. Establishes modern integration patterns and rationalizes technology portfolio to reduce complexity and cost. Agentic AI Architecture: Designs enterprise frameworks for autonomous AI agents across manufacturing, supply chain, and customer engagement. Establishes AI governance and data architecture standards. Partners with AI-native vendors to reimagine business processes. Enterprise Information and Integration: Governs information architecture across platforms. Defines enterprise data models and ownership standards. Leads integration strategy, driving reusable services while reducing point-to-point complexity. Security Architecture: Embeds cybersecurity principles (zero trust, defense-in-depth, least privilege) into all designs. Conducts risk assessments and partners with Cybersecurity and Compliance teams. Business Transformation and Governance: Maps business processes, identifies standardization opportunities, and challenges custom development. Establishes architecture standards and reviews solution designs for compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Technology or a related field.
  • 15+ years technology experience with 8+ years in enterprise architecture roles.
  • Track record reducing technology debt, influencing senior executives.
  • Proven track record leading large-scale ERP implementations in global manufacturing.
  • Extensive CRM platform experience and enterprise integration platform.
  • Demonstrated experience architecting AI solutions at enterprise scale.
  • Knowledge of agentic AI frameworks and autonomous system design.
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain processes, and IT/OT convergence.
  • Inspires teams around architectural vision.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Technology or a related field.
  • Track record of success with technology modernization and rationalization (including transforming technology architecture towards a cloud based, scalable, API/ Microservices based architecture.
  • Experience providing technology architecture thought leadership (e.g., tool selection, standards, strategic direction, etc.) having functioned as an Enterprise Architect or Chief Architect within a large global organization.
  • History of introducing new/emerging technology to disrupt business models.
