As the Senior Director of Engineering, you’ll lead a talented team of engineers and guide them to deliver exceptional results. You’ll bring a balance of technical expertise and strong leadership to inspire and grow your team. In this role, you’ll foster an inclusive and diverse environment that values curiosity, truth-seeking, and thoughtful prioritization. You’ll drive business outcomes through speed, creativity, and a high standard of quality. You’ll also mentor engineers, champion best practices, and work closely with stakeholders to align technical strategy with company goals.

Requirements

  • 15+ years experience in software engineering, at least 8 of them in a lead or manager capacity.
  • Managed teams of 5 direct reports or more in remote and/or hybrid environments.
  • Growth mindset.
  • Passionate about building data related products and understand good systems design.
  • Experienced interacting with senior management; ability to demonstrate critical thinking and thought leadership.
  • Proven track record of effectively developing direct reports through continual feedback, goal-setting, and growing them through the ranks of an engineering organization.
  • Advanced understanding of modern software development practices and methodologies, and the ability to roll up your sleeves and contribute when necessary.
  • Experience directly working on or managing a team working on production systems and high-volume applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to attract, identify, and mentor top engineering talent.
