About The Position

The Senior Director of Early Childhood at Bank Street College of Education will lead the strategic development and implementation of early childhood projects within the Education Center. Requirements

  • 10 years of relevant experience in policy, systems leadership, or related work in early childhood education.
  • 5+ years of management experience and at least 3 years in an Early Childhood leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in early childhood policy and workforce strategies.
  • Strong critical thinking and project management skills.
  • Ability to design and manage complex projects.
  • Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience facilitating and designing professional learning through various formats.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of apprenticeship models or similar approaches to training early childhood educators.
  • Experience engaging in conversations around race, equity, and identity.
  • Comfort in using Google Suite tools and data-capturing tools like Qualtrics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic development and program implementation of early childhood projects.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and project teams to develop a unified business development strategy.
  • Create new professional learning offerings and resources in partnership with the Executive Director.
  • Inform the creation of an impact evaluation framework aligned with the division's mission.
  • Manage project teams to effectively execute partnerships and provide developmental guidance.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with partner school systems and relevant stakeholders.
  • Implement new partnerships with organizations that align with Bank Street's approach.
  • Manage the design and implementation of projects in partner school and state systems.
  • Research, design, and develop professional learning arcs based on project goals.
  • Design and facilitate professional development opportunities for educators and stakeholders.
  • Document lessons learned through partnerships in publications and presentations.
  • Lead the creation of professional learning content connected to key publications.
