The Division of Disease Control's mission is to safeguard the health of New Yorkers through identification, surveillance, treatment, control, and prevention of infectious diseases, which is achieved through varied and interrelated endeavors of its seven Bureaus. The Bureau of Division Management & Systems Coordination (DMSC) leads administrative, surveillance, informatics, preparedness, policy, communications, community engagement, and racial equity and social justice activities for the Division and guides the strategic use of Division resources to advance innovative and effective policies and programs. The bureau is seeking someone to fill this Senior Director position for the bureau of Division Management and Systems Coordination. Reporting to the Assistant Commissioner of the Bureau of Division Management and Systems Coordination, this position is critical to the smooth functioning of the Division of Disease Control, as it directs the Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity (ELC) cooperative agreement with CDC which provides support for core epidemiology and laboratory services and informatics. This position also provides day-to-day support to the Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner in division and bureau operations, provides consultation on the distribution and management of resources, and designs and implements initiatives to improve division administration.
