About The Position

As the Senior Director of Data Science and Advanced Analytics Leader for US Rare Diseases, you'll be at the forefront of setting and executing the vision and strategy for advanced analytics initiatives. This critical position involves using data-driven insights to improve the US Commercial strategy, sales, patient engagement, and market expansion in outstanding and specialized diseases. Requirements

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Over 15 years in data science, analytics, and leadership roles within US healthcare, biotech, or pharmaceuticals.
  • Deep proficiency in commercial data science and analytics, including statistical modeling, machine learning, segmentation, and forecasting (Python, R, SQL, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with commercial analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, Veeva, Databricks).
  • Expertise working with US commercial data assets (claims, prescription, distribution, CRM, real-world data, patient support).
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead US-focused analytics teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills; able to effectively present analytics to commercial executives and field teams.
  • Proven record of change management and building commercial analytics capabilities.
  • Advanced business acumen with the ability to turn US commercial challenges into actionable analytics projects and insights that fuel growth and performance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Experience working in the pharma or biotech sectors, preferably working within or with the Commercial team.
  • Knowledge of Syndicated Claims data, Lab data (IQVIA LAAD, Symphony, Specialty Pharmacy/Specialty Distribution).

  • Direct experience in rare or specialty disease US commercial analytics is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy creation with data analysis and insights for the US Commercial sector, improving field performance, patient targeting, customer engagement, and success in specialized disease markets.
  • Partner with US Commercial leaders and departments to align analytics priorities and integrate AI and advanced insights.
  • Direct the data science CoE operations to align with US Commercial objectives, ensuring outstanding, timely deliverables for changing market needs.
  • Continuously improve data pipelines, analytical processes, and reporting tools supporting brand, payer, and field teams.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing, US-focused team, including data scientists and commercial analytics specialists.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and business partnership within the CoE, ensuring continuous skills development and team engagement.
  • Serve as the lead interface between the CoE and US Commercial business units, including Brand, Market Access, Patient Services, and Customer Engagement.
  • Translate complex analyses into clear business recommendations and deliver presentations to US commercial leadership, sales teams, and external partners as needed.
  • Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced analytics models and dashboards to address critical commercial opportunities.
  • Drive the use of real-world, claims, and distribution data to improve performance in rare disease launches and mature portfolio management.
  • Facilitate data-driven decision making through market insights, competitive intelligence, and field performance analytics tailored to the US market.
  • Evaluate and deploy innovative analytics technologies, AI/ML platforms, and advanced data tools that give US Commercial teams a competitive advantage.
  • Monitor commercial analytics trends and practices in the US healthcare market and integrate best-in-class solutions.
  • Develop and oversee key performance indicators to gauge the Center of Excellence's effect on US Commercial outcomes, including revenue growth and successful product launches.
  • Deliver practical dashboards, reports, and insights to diverse customers and on-site teams within the US Commercial sector.
