About The Position

We have an opportunity for a Senior Director, Data, Analytics and Reporting to join our IT team in Santa Clara HQ reporting to the CIO. In this mission critical leadership position, you will be responsible for defining and executing a data strategy that fuels Infoblox's growth, customer success, and operational excellence. Collaborating closely with executive leaders across the organization, including Finance, Operations, Product and Engineering, Business Applications, AI Engineering and Security teams ensuring our data assets are leveraged to their full potential. This role requires a leader who can build and mentor a world-class team while personally driving strategic initiatives and ensuring the integrity of our data foundation. A core part of your responsibility will be to champion and enable our AI strategy and technical foundations, ensuring that clean, trusted, and well-governed data is the foundation for all AI initiatives. You will also be a champion for the data user, focused on building a self-service data platform that empowers all Infoblox employees to make data-driven decisions with confidence.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, data science, and data engineering, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven ability to define, communicate, and execute a data vision that drives measurable business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in building data foundations and pipelines specifically to support and accelerate AI and machine learning initiatives.
  • Deep knowledge of modern data stacks, including data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and Tableau.
  • Experience with cloud-based data environments that enable AI use-cases (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Exceptional ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and communicate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong Data governance and master data management background to build governance organizations and frameworks ground up.
  • A track record of successfully hiring, mentoring, and leading high-performing data teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Inspire a High-Performing Team: Build, mentor, and scale a diverse, high-performing team of data analysts, data scientists, data & analytics, and Business Intelligence engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Define and Execute the Data Strategy: Architect a clear, scalable data strategy that aligns with Infoblox's business goals and product roadmap. Ensure the right data architecture, tools, and processes are in place to deliver trusted, high-quality data at scale.
  • Champion AI Enablement: Act as a critical partner to the Business Applications and AI Engineering teams. Ensure that our data and data infrastructure and practices are optimized to support and accelerate AI development and deployment.
  • Drive Data-Driven Decision-Making: Partner with senior leaders across Finance, Operations, Product & Engineering to identify and deliver actionable insights that inform key business decisions, optimize performance, and unlock new opportunities.
  • Advance the Data Foundation: Own the end-to-end data lifecycle for critical business domains, from data ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines to data modeling, quality assurance, and governance.
  • Develop and maintain Master data management by establishing standards, data quality rules, matching/merging criteria, survivorship rules, and hierarchy management.
  • Enhance Data Security and Governance: Partner with Security leaders to define and implement policies and systems to safeguard data privacy, ensure regulatory compliance, and protect sensitive information.
  • Enable Self-Service and User Experience: Drive the development of a self-service data platform that empowers business users with easy-to-use tools and intuitive dashboards.
  • Lead Enterprise Data Governance Council and establish data governance and quality frameworks to ensure trustworthy, compliant data usage.
