About The Position

As a Gartner Analyst, you will create and advise on a portfolio of Gartner research, communicate it to clients and support sales in new sales and client retention. Your research portfolio will provide insight, predictions and actionable advice to clients in the roles of Chief Data and Analytics Officers, Data & Analytics Leaders, and leaders of D&A Governance. In addition, you will understand adjacent research areas and practices.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience within the field of D&A Leadership, D&A strategy development, or the role of CDAO.
  • Significant applicable experience in the related industry discipline and deep knowledge of a particular market.
  • Experience in presenting to clients at events and conferences, performing workshops and briefings.
  • Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams in a multicultural global team.
  • Expertise in developing D&A delivery plans along with budget and measurement considerations.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

  • Drive client demand for Gartner’s research through your thought leadership.
  • Produce innovative, thought-leading, impactful, fact-based research covering specified areas and adjacent areas.
  • Address topics such as Data Sovereignty, development of a data and analytics strategy, and development of Data and Analytics Board presentations.
  • Utilize experience in related industry discipline and deep knowledge of a particular market.
  • Create and deliver high value presentations including webinars, in-person client meetings, and workshops.
  • Answer client questions through 350-500 client interactions each year.
  • Apply critical thinking skills to de-construct and frame challenging client questions.
  • Assist the Sales organization in selling and retention on topics covered by your team.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify problems and develop strategies for clients.
  • Provide high quality and timely research peer review.
  • Mentor and support team members after some time in the role.
  • Participate in or lead research community meetings.
