About The Position

The Senior Director, Business Operations is responsible for the coordination, management, and delivery of all Innovation business operations and support functions. This role will work across the entire Innovation team to ensure administrative and operational support for strategic and programmatic activities and the timely delivery and compliance of programs within the Innovation portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred
  • 10-12 years of combined business operations and marketing, strategy and/or product experience
  • Proven ability to develop department-level strategy and translate vision into execution
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex, ambiguous projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Can operate at all levels – from high level decision making to hands-on building of marketing decks, writing proposals, building budgets and other business operations activities.
  • Strong track record of building and optimizing operational systems, processes, and teams
  • Exceptional relationship management skills, with ability to influence and build coalitions across all organizational levels
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and visual communication skills, with experience presenting to executive audiences
  • Ability to make strategic decisions with incomplete information and manage calculated risks
  • Well-organized work style with focus on both strategic thinking and operational excellence
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment; ability to exercise flexibility and good judgment in complex situations
  • Appetite for curiosity and desire to learn
  • Must have an entrepreneurial mindset with a strong desire to have an impact on society

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Innovation leadership to develop department-level vision and strategy, make complex operational decisions, and identify transformational opportunities to enhance Innovation's impact and efficiency
  • Serve as trusted advisor to Innovation leadership on operational, organizational, and strategic matters, while driving cross-departmental initiatives that advance broader organizational goals
  • Shape organizational narrative around Innovation's work, representing the team externally to partners, stakeholders, and the broader NobleReach community
  • Oversee department-wide operational initiatives, managing organization-level resources and setting program management direction for the Innovation portfolio
  • Lead data strategy, financial operations, and administrative support functions to ensure compliant, timely delivery of all Innovation programs; regularly evaluate and optimize business procedures to align with organizational objectives
  • Manage federal contracts, agreements, and vendor relationships; oversee all administrative business management functions including invoice approvals, timesheets, legal compliance, and financial reporting
  • Make data-informed recommendations to optimize team productivity, revenue, retention, and operational efficiency
  • Provide leadership across group, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment that encourages creativity, learning, and growth while managing multiple stakeholder input and driving the innovation team toward fast, effective decision making.
  • Mentor and guide team members to achieve their full potential, ensuring the team has required technical capabilities and supporting professional development while championing organizational values Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Establish strategic organizational partnerships, building executive networks across NobleReach to integrate Innovation operations seamlessly with other departments
  • Influence key stakeholders across the organization, building coalitions to advance shared goals and providing strategic process support to executive team on corporate functions as needed
