About The Position

ASRC Federal is seeking an experienced Business Development Executive, principally supporting the Mission Software Solutions business within the Defense & Intel Business. Defense and Intel represent the largest business within ASRC Federal. The capabilities of the Mission Software Solutions (MSS) operating group include naval weapon system software development, upgrade and integration. Candidates must have proven and extensive experience developing and managing a multi-year pipeline of related opportunities in various stages of the acquisition timeline. This position will report to the Vice President of Business Development within Defense & Intelligence Operating Group and lead the business development efforts for across a large Portfolio of weapon systems platforms and software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working for winning new business and also of working all phases of captures life cycle. Have a proven record of successful shaping of technical and service-based opportunities along with implementing and executing unique approaches to identifying new opportunities that lead directly to business growth in profession services operating group, and other capabilities in the defense & intelligence market. The position can be remote but prefer candidates with proximity to D.C. area. Frequent travel will be required to client sites, the Reston, VA HQ Office and other ASRC Federal locations to conduct key in-person business development activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years of experience leading strategic Business Development, Captures or master’s degree with 10+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Existing relationships within U.S. Navy customers and or knowledge of related DoD platforms, capabilities, data, software needs.
  • Proven ability to derive strategic solutions and win themes against vaguely defined requirements.
  • Success in leading multiple opportunities simultaneously at various stages of the opportunity lifecycle.
  • Aptitude to perform at high levels in a fast paced, matrixed environment with minimal or no supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Current security clearance, Secret or Top-Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and own applicable steps in the business development lifecycle to get out in front of emerging opportunities by engaging customers and key stakeholders.
  • Incrementally improve win probability and position the organization to craft a compelling technical and pricing solution while identifying and managing risk.
  • Be knowledgeable of weapon systems and software solutions across naval platforms and applicable DoD weapon systems.
  • Participate in all phases of a capture.
  • Execute unique approaches to opportunity identification and business growth.
  • Develop detailed and thorough briefing materials and present at gate reviews to the senior leadership team.
  • Interact with all levels of the organization and remain fluent on ASRC Federal capabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple functional teams within the ASRC Federal enterprise.
