About The Position

ASRC Federal is seeking an experienced Senior Director, Business Development, principally supporting Information Technology Solutions, with capabilities in; Cyber security, IT or Network Operations, High Performance Computing, and AI across DoD, and especially within Department of the Air Force. Candidates must have proven and extensive experience developing and managing a multi-year pipeline of related opportunities in various stages of the acquisition timeline. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record winning new business and also of working all phases of the capture life cycle. Have a proven record of successfully shaping opportunities along with implementing and executing unique approaches to identifying new opportunities that lead directly to business growth in the defense & intelligence market. The position can be remote but prefer candidates with proximity to the D.C. area or key business centers including San Antonio, TX, Norfolk, VA, and DoD locations in the southeastern US. Frequent travel will be required to client sites, the Reston, VA HQ Office and other ASRC Federal locations to conduct key in-person business development activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years of experience leading strategic Business Development, Captures or master’s degree with 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• Existing relationships within Air Force, and other DoD customers and ability to arrange meetings, develop and offer solutions, and respond to feedback.
• Proven ability to derive strategic solutions and win themes against vaguely defined requirements.
• Success in leading multiple opportunities simultaneously at various stages of the opportunity lifecycle.
• Aptitude to perform at high levels in a fast paced, matrixed environment with minimal or no supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to travel to, and work from, company and Customer locations in the US and possibly international locations.
• Familiarity with Government and industry data systems and ability to independently research, synthesize, write and present complex information to leaders and co-workers.
• Flexible to work and lead teams through remote, in-office, or in a classified environment based on opportunity requirements and business need.
• Current Secret or Top-Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own applicable steps in the business development lifecycle to improve win probability and position the organization to craft compelling technical and pricing solutions while identifying and managing risk.
• Be knowledgeable of Cyber security, IT, Network, and/or High-Performance Computing technologies in the context of business development.
• Participate in all phases of a capture.
• Execute unique approaches to opportunity identification and business growth.
• Develop detailed and thorough briefing materials and present at gate reviews to the senior leadership team.
• Interact with all levels of the organization and remain fluent on ASRC Federal capabilities.
• Work collaboratively with multiple functional teams within the ASRC Federal enterprise to ensure opportunities are adequately resourced and supported.
