About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented leader who can combine strategic vision with execution excellence to lead the business consulting and business testing capabilities for the National Products Design and Management (NPDM) Organization. The Senior Director of Business Consulting will develop and mentor a high-performing team of business consultants and testing leaders, overseeing the strategy, planning, and delivery of business requirements, solution design, process workflows, and business testing services that ensure products meet business and member needs before deployment. This role will be responsible for ensuring consistent and quality delivery across the NPDM portfolio while identifying new opportunities to drive scalability and efficiency across the National Products organization. The Senior Director of Business Consulting will build strong partnerships and work closely with National Product, IT, and Deployment Leadership, ensuring that solutions are properly designed, tested, and aligned to organizational goals before transitioning into deployment and long-term maintenance. The Senior Director of Business Consulting will lead and mature the NPDM business consulting and testing functions, overseeing requirements development, business solution design, process mapping and member experience documentation, and end-to-end business testing.

Requirements

  • Minimum six (6) years supervisory experience managing direct reports.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and Minimum twelve (12) years experience in consulting, project management, data analytics, operations or a directly related field OR Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Health Services Administration, or related field and Minimum ten (10) years experience in consulting, project management, data analytics, operations or a directly related field OR Minimum fifteen (15) years experience in consulting, project management, data analytics, operations or a directly related field.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees team(s) of consultants to ensure alignment, buy-in, and coordination of diverse stakeholders to drive the implementation of successful strategic business initiatives and projects/programs across multiple functional tracks or complex workstreams.
  • Directs business strategy, organizational alignment, and prioritization of business initiatives.
  • Drives the development and implementation of long-term business initiatives, systems, and/or processes to a desired future state.
  • Champions change management plans associated with business initiatives.
  • Oversees team members in the assessment of strategic performance metrics to support business initiatives.
  • Monitors and takes accountability for compliance of team work activities by ensuring business plans and team members adhere to relevant policies and procedures.
  • Builds organizational capacity and prepares high potentials for growth opportunities and advancement.
  • Models and drives continuous learning and oversees the recruitment, selection, and development of talent.
  • Acts as a thought leader on industry trends, benchmarks, and best practices.
  • Motivates and empowers teams; maintains a highly skilled and engaged workforce.
  • Engages strategic, cross-functional business units to champion and drive support for business plans and priorities.
  • Sets and communicates goals and objectives; analyzes resources, costs, and forecasts and incorporates them into business plans.
  • Anticipates and removes obstacles that impact performance; addresses performance gaps and implements contingency plans accordingly.
  • Oversees team(s) of consultants in the development of requirements for large-scale, complex, or specialized business, process, or system solutions.
  • Drives the management of complex, cross-functional projects and/or programs by ensuring the coordination of appropriate stakeholders.
  • Oversees vendor management as required.
