About The Position

The Senior Director of Audience Intelligence will lead Gap Inc.'s centralized Audience Intelligence team, which operates across all four brands: Athleta, Banana Republic, Gap, and Old Navy. This role is pivotal in owning the audience data and segmentation strategy for the marketing organization. As part of the Marketing Intelligence organization, the Audience Intelligence team is responsible for empowering modern media strategy and decision-making through a deep understanding of the audiences of Gap brands. Reporting directly to the VP, Head of Marketing Intelligence, the Senior Director will build a scalable, integrated audience data and segmentation strategy that enables brand marketing and media teams to maximize the effectiveness of both paid and owned strategies. In this role, the Senior Director will integrate previously disparate efforts across the four brands to create a more cohesive data strategy that enhances efficiency across the organization. This includes managing a matrixed team of centralized and embedded resources within the four Gap brands to ensure a strategic impact. The team will work closely with the Media Shared Services organization, serving as internal experts on Gap's audience to optimize media strategies. Additionally, collaboration with the MadTech product and Data Science teams will be essential to identify and prioritize capabilities for Gap Inc.'s data stack, including the Consumer Data Platform (CDP), machine learning models, data partnerships, and AI initiatives. The Senior Director will establish an enterprise-wide audience data, insights, and segmentation strategy, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the customer across all four brands. This includes defining segmentation approaches for various customer categories, empowering media strategy through audience insights, and leading the evaluation of audience data practices to identify opportunities for cross-brand synergies. The role also involves providing analytical expertise to support performance media initiatives and serving as a thought leader for audience insights and segmentation best practices. The Senior Director will manage and develop a team of specialists dedicated to audience data strategy and insights, coordinating efforts to ensure effective resource allocation across the team.
