About The Position

GDMS has an immediate opening for a Senior Digital Hardware Design Engineer to join our cross-disciplinary team responsible for developing tactical radio hardware. These programs help to ensure robust and secure communications for the warfighter. This role includes schematic design and layout of hardware with ARM processors and microcontrollers, DDR RAM (DDR3, DDR4, LPDDR4) memory interfaces, and digital interfaces (e.g. I2C, SPI, SDIO).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
• 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
• Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

• Schematic capture and layout design of digital subsystems and components for Software Defined Radios (SDRs).
• Use of lab test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment.
• Experience designing PCBs/PWBs using Siemens Xpedition or similar tools.
• Understanding of the hardware development process throughout the lifecycle of a program.
• Knowledge of signal integrity/power integrity analysis.
