About The Position

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is looking for a Senior Digital Designer who’s excited about shaping intuitive, human‑centered experiences that help millions of members use and understand their benefits. If you love turning complexity into clarity, this is a place where your craft truly matters. In this fully remote role, you’ll bring ideas to life across digital products, visual communication and multi‑platform asset creation. You’ll partner closely with other designers, UX researchers, copywriters and developers to design solutions that feel simple, supportive and accessible for the people who rely on us. We’re looking for someone who’s fluent in Figma and comfortable moving from concept to polished execution. Experience working in regulated spaces—healthcare, government, finance—is helpful but absolutely not required. Curiosity, collaboration, and a passion for clean, intuitive design go a long way here. Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Design, UX, Communications, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent, relevant work experience required.
• Equivalent experience is defined as 4 years of professional work experience in a corporate environment.
• 4 years - Experience with digital and/or experience design, creative prototyping, strategy consulting, marketing, or related consumer-focused function required.
• Strong design skills, meticulous attention to details and the ability to think strategically to create multiple solutions addressing the needs of our members
• High level of proficiency in Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar, with strong knowledge of digital development processes.
• Proficient in Adobe CC with emphasis on Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. with knowledge of printing processes
• Natural curiosity with a passion for problem solving and delivering results
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects and priorities
• Ability to support qualitative, quantitative, and secondary research insights and strategies
• Ability to work independently under general supervision and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Champion an innovation mind-set and a variety of innovation approaches (e.g., human-centered design thinking, design sprinting, lean development) to design, develop, prototype and test innovative products and services.
• Concept digital projects of a moderate level of complexity and across multiple formats.
• Rapidly iterate, delivering wireframes and prototypes to bring ideas to life.
• Prepare digital assets for proper hand off to developers.
• Ability to contribute to the development of omni-channel materials, including print materials and package print materials for print production, if needed.
• Under the leadership of a Digital Art Director, support project execution from start to finish with a clear understanding of strategy, project objectives, UX standards, timelines and budget.
• Build member experience journey maps and service maps, and coordinates experience improvement documentation
• Document member insights and pain points to inform development of design concepts.
