About The Position

The Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) invites applications for a Marketing and Communications Specialist 3 position (Senior Digital Communication Specialist). The GRC engages in applied health services and population health research in a project-based team setting. The Senior Digital Communication Specialist assists in managing and executing internal and external communications and marketing activities for the Government Resource Center (GRC) with a primary focus on digital platforms and web accessibility. This role serves as the technical lead for the organization’s digital presence, managing the architecture and content of web properties, educational digital resources, and virtual communication channels; assists in developing and implementing a comprehensive digital strategy; evaluates and implements changes to web infrastructure to improve user experience (UX); identifies, writes, copy edits, and formats content for news releases, web pages, and e-learning modules; responsible for implementing overall communications project management and supporting leadership to a small team of junior-level staff. The Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center’s mission is to identify, research, and spread innovative practices to improve healthcare for all Ohioans through partnerships with healthcare, state, and academic leaders. The GRC’s current work encompasses critical issues and challenges in public health and health services, including maternal and infant mortality, substance use, Ohio’s Medicaid members, management of chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, and health system payment innovation. Requirements

  • Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience required, 2 years of relevant experience required with an advanced degree.
  • Requires successful completion of a background check.
  • Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong skills in Microsoft and Adobe Creative Cloud and design software including InDesign and PowerPoint
  • experience updating websites within the Drupal platform
  • experience developing, leading and implementing multiple application, user interface, and software integration and training campaigns.
