ACME Precision Diesel is hiring an experienced Senior Diesel Mechanic for our Greer, SC shop. This is not an entry level position. We are looking for a technician who can lead advanced diagnostics and repairs on medium and heavy duty trucks with minimal supervision. If you enjoy solving the hard problems, taking ownership of complex jobs, and working in a clean, well equipped shop, this is the right role. Schedule Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Evenings and weekends at home Type of Work This role is focused on advanced work, not just basic services. You will: Perform in depth engine diagnostics and repairs, including aftertreatment and emissions systems Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems Handle clutch, transmission, and driveline work Perform air and hydraulic brake diagnostics and repairs Lead troubleshooting on difficult repeat issues Help guide less experienced techs when needed You will often be the person others come to when they are stuck. Compensation Flat Rate Pay 32 to 35 per hour based on experience and certifications Paid per job completed using standard labor times Your diagnostic speed and accuracy directly increase your earnings Weekly Pay Paid every Friday by direct deposit Bonus Opportunities Extra earning potential based on billed hours, quality, and comeback performance Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Company paid life insurance 401(k) with 50 percent company match up to 4 percent PTO: one week after one year, two weeks after two years Seven paid holidays Voluntary short term disability Reliable, consistent workload Modern diagnostic tools, laptops, and a clean, organized shop Qualifications At least 3 years of hands on diesel experience required 5 or more years of experience with medium and heavy duty trucks strongly preferred Proven ability to handle advanced diagnostics and complex repairs Strong electrical and aftertreatment experience is a plus Valid driver license and current DOT medical card Must supply your own hand tools appropriate to the trade Clean MVR and solid work history Professional, team oriented attitude Preferred Certifications and Training These are not required, but they are a strong plus and will be given priority: ASE Medium/Heavy Truck certifications (T series) OEM or dealer training with major truck or engine brands A/C certification CDL A or B Any additional certifications that show advanced diagnostic and repair capability If you have the background and can prove your skill in the shop, we want to talk.
