The hours and location you'll work in as a Senior Diesel Mechanic with WM: Based Upon Operation Needs Start Time Based Upon Operation Needs We're committed to offering you stable hours for the financial security and work life balance you need. The normal setting for this job is a repair / maintenance shop at our Lakeland,FL hauling site.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
- Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
- Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
- Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
- Conduct safety checks on vehicles.
- Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
- Assist Mechanics in the completion of project work.
- Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards.
Requirements
- 4 years of relevant work experience.
- A valid driver's license, with a clean driving record.
- Be over 18 years of age.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
