As a Senior Diesel Mechanic at WM, you will be part of North America's leading provider of comprehensive waste management environmental services. This role offers career progression, stability for your family, and a safe work environment. You will be responsible for fixing trucks and equipment that service over 20 million customers across the USA, using modern tools and procedures to deliver exceptional maintenance on diesel equipment and, at some locations, on CNG trucks.

  • Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
  • Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
  • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
  • Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles.
  • Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage and accounting for repair times.
  • Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards.
  • 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be over 18 years of age.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
  • Experience working with diesel and CNG trucks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Starting salary of $27-$37 per hour depending on experience.
  • Skill pay program with proper certification - up to an additional $11 an hour.
  • Tool allowance reimbursement up to $1,500.
  • Boot allowance worth an additional $300.
  • A sign-on bonus of $3,000.
