Learn about the Trident II D5 Fleet Ballistic Missile. What does this role look like? We are the voice steering today's design decisions to drive tomorrow's production success. This Manufacturing Engineering position will support mechanical Design for Manufacturing and requires in-depth knowledge of Machining, Composites, Structures, and mechanical assembly. Firm understanding of engineering drawings, parts lists, CAD coupled with innovative thinking is a must. This position will integrate with mechanical design teams at the beginning of product lifecycle, supporting the entire process from initial concepts to Engineering drawing.

Requirements

Bachelors degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
3+ years of professional experience with some combination of the following: experience with manufacturing processes and procedures including: fabrication, assembly, machining, and electrical in several disciplines including composites, metallics, machining, bonded assemblies &/or installations.
Demonstrated experience with design for producibility (DFx/DFm) principles.
Working knowledge of CAD systems and Manufacturing ERP systems, such as CREO and VE-CAMs.
Demonstrated understanding of industry standards for mechanical assembly requirements.
You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Responsibilities

Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team while staying true to production goals and how they influence design decisions.
Provide cost trades during design cycles to describe and defend producibility choices.
Knowledge base should include production level support manufacturing machined details, mechanical assembly, Composites layup & machining, and hands on assembly experience.
