Raytheon’s Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) strategic business unit (SBU) specializes in multi-domain integrated air and missile defense, advanced sensors, space-based systems, hypersonics, effectors and cyber solutions. Focused on program execution, business growth and the highest level of customer satisfaction, the ASDS team provides customers with unmatched capabilities of detection and sensing, command and control, and air-to-air, air-to-surface, and surface-to-air munitions to accomplish air, space and missile defense missions. Within ASDS, Space Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance is our Sub-SBU that delivers information superiority from space, multi-mission automation and orchestration, multiple intelligence (Multi-INT) and resilient operations, secure processing, and data management. In this role, you will join a small, highly-focus team working to develop and maintain signal processing applications for use in a real-time operational environment. The team members are multi-disciplined and contribute across all phases of systems engineering, software development, integration and test, and metrics. The team works closely with operations personnel to meet unique and continuously evolving development needs. This position is an onsite role in Aurora, CO

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior, relevant software engineering experience.
  • Experience with Kubernetes including using yaml.
  • Experience with Helm Charts and abstraction.
  • Experience with software development using C++ and Python.
  • Experience with test automation using CI/CD pipelines.
  • An active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. An active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance that can be crossed over to a TS/SCI security clearance is also acceptable.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with RabbitMQ and Celery.
  • Experience with ArgoCD in a Linux environment.
  • Ability to support Docker containerization and orchestration design for scalability.
  • Experience programming in Go.
  • Experience with GitLab pipelines.
  • Experience developing software in a Linux environment and Linus shell scripting.

Responsibilities

  • Design and integrate cloud software products into a customer hosting environment.
  • Review and produce architectural diagrams using Cameo.
  • Work with talented teams of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.
