Senior DevOps Systems Engineer, TS/SCI with a Full Scope Polygraph Security Clearance Required, Onsite
About The Position
We are looking for a strong Senior DevOps Systems Engineer to augment the existing platform team for a large analytic cloud repository. The successful DevOps Systems Engineer for this position has experience working with large Hadoop and Accumulo based clusters, a strong background in Linux OS development, and a familiarity with open-source technologies. Additional knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, Kafka and CentOS or RHEL would benefit the Senior DevOps Systems Engineer. Ideal Senor DevOps Systems Engineers would have familiarity with Open Source products and be willing/able to learn new technologies. The platform team builds subject matter expertise in a variety of Open-source products. A DoD 8570 IAT Level 1 is required. Candidates must have an active TS/SCI with a Full Scope Polygraph security clearance. This is a 100% Onsite position and not open for Hybrid and/or Remote.
Requirements
- Must have an active TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph security clearance.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level 1 or higher required.
- 17+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer on projects of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. An additional 5 years of Software Engineering experience may be substituted for the degree.
- Experience administering Kubernetes cluster.
- Experience tuning and managing Kafka.
- Experience installing and managing tracing frameworks like Jaeger.
- Experience with HELM charts, ARGOCD, Ansible, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Thanos, Apache Hadoop, and Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).
- Experienced with Python/Go/Java in that order of preference.
- Experience with Linux operating system monitoring and tuning.
- Experience with Open-source applications and Agile development.
Nice To Haves
- Additional knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, Kafka and CentOS or RHEL would benefit the Senior DevOps Systems Engineer.
- Ideal Senor DevOps Systems Engineers would have familiarity with Open Source products and be willing/able to learn new technologies.
