Core Responsibilities and Key Performance Objectives Build and maintain an enterprise-class CI/CD pipeline that enables secure, highly available application delivery at scale Design and implement self-service infrastructure patterns that enable development teams to own and manage their resources Lead a team of three engineers through active backlog management, clear prioritization, and consistent delivery rhythms Establish strategic systems and processes that scale ahead of organizational growth Serve as the organization's DevSecOps point of contact for standards, best practices, and technical guidance Within the first 3 months: Assess current deployment processes and establish a prioritized roadmap for scalability improvements Implement backlog management practices that create predictable delivery cadence and visibility Build relationships with software development teams to understand needs and align on infrastructure strategy Lead migration of critical applications into the new AWS account while identifying automation opportunities Within the first 6 months: Establish self-service infrastructure patterns that enable development teams to deploy and manage their own resources Design and implement critical IT processes: patching/vulnerability management, logging/alerting, performance monitoring, change management Mentor engineers on both technical skills and operational discipline Complete standardized application deployment utilizing infrastructure as code and GitHub Actions Within the first year: Establish LineVision's long-term infrastructure strategy in partnership with software development leadership Build measurable processes that optimize efficiency and maintain system reliability Create a culture of ownership where teams understand their infrastructure impact and can self-serve for routine needs Deploy comprehensive cybersecurity measures through continuous vulnerability assessment and risk management How to succeed in this role Key Competencies Taking Ownership: Lead projects with minimal supervision, drive team outcomes, and maintain accountability across functions Judgment & Decision Making: Make informed decisions based on first principles and evidence, balance risks and opportunities strategically Empowering Others: Develop programs to empower others, drive initiatives for team development, and build team capabilities Follow Through - Execution: Develop execution strategies that ensure reliability and accountability across teams
