About The Position

Founded in 2007 by an Engineer-by-trade, Fusion Technology dedicates our valuable resources to providing comprehensive IT services and solutions to mission-critical US Government programs and the Intel Community. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, testing, certification, operations, patching, and addressing interoperability issues of DevSecOps infrastructure tools. You will support the primary Operations and Maintenance workforce for multiple tools and ensure the reliability and robustness of the underlying infrastructure that supports the forensic and investigative ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Security-cleared Professional: You have made it through the process of receiving a United States government security clearance - congratulations! We know you are a trustworthy intel professional because you have a Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility (TS/SCI). May be asked to undergo polygraph.
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or a related field.
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Search and indexing tool clusters (ElasticSearch, Apache Solr)
  • Repository Managers (JFrog Artifactory, Sonatype Nexus)
  • Database servers (MySQL, Postgres, MSSQL)
  • Cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, SC2S, C2S)
  • Virtualization (VMware vSphere, VxRail)
  • Open-source monitoring frameworks (Prometheus, Nagios, Grafana)
  • Security and networking (SSH, SSL/TLS, Key Vaults)
  • Server side technologies (Apache Tomcat)
  • DevSecOps principles and best practices
  • Linux (Rocky, RedHat, Amazon, Ubuntu) and Windows operating systems
  • Data processing, automation and ETL workflow orchestration
  • CI/CD pipeline implementation and optimization
  • GitLab or similar version control systems
  • Network architecture and security in classified environments
  • Hybrid cloud and on-premises integration
  • SAFe Agile methodologies
  • Security accreditation processes

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, test, certify, and operate DevSecOps infrastructure tools
  • Address interoperability issues for all operating systems, support libraries, components, and application dependencies
  • Deploy and configure services using infrastructure as a service provider
  • Configure and manage Linux-based servers to serve dynamic websites
  • Debug cluster-based computing architectures
  • Install, configure, and maintain open-source monitoring and observability tools
  • Work closely with development and security teams to ensure CI/CD pipelines integrate with DevSecOps best practices
  • Use scripting and programming (Bash, Python, etc.) to automate deployments and improve system reliability
  • Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities
  • Support the multi-enclave environment (Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret)
  • Respond to and resolve critical incidents within designated resolution timelines
