Senior DevOps Engineer

CareDx offers products, testing services, and digital healthcare solutions along the pre- and post-transplant patient journey, and is the leading provider of genomics-based information for transplant patients. Ideal candidate will be located in Brisbane, CA We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Engineering team. This is a mid to senior level individual contributor role focused on designing, implementing, and supporting scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure and DevOps automation in a multi-cloud environment (Azure and AWS). You will play a key role in building CI/CD pipelines, managing infrastructure as code, supporting container orchestration, and improving observability to enable efficient and reliable software delivery.
Requirements
- Experience: 5 –7 years of hands-on DevOps experience in Azure and/or AWS environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Solid experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on expertise with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS preferred).
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and ARM/Bicep.
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms (Azure Monitor, DataDog, Sumo Logic, etc.).
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, and/or PowerShell).
- Good understanding of networking concepts and cloud security fundamentals.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field required.
Nice To Haves
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer, AWS DevOps Engineer, Terraform Associate) are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Azure/AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployment of applications and services using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
- Work with containerization technologies (Docker) and manage Kubernetes workloads (AKS preferred).
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using tools such as Azure Monitor, Sumo Logic, or DataDog.
- Automate operational tasks and workflows using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement cloud security best practices and maintain compliance standards.
- Provide Level 2 production support, participate in incident resolution, and assist with deployments and hotfixes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps processes, tooling, and infrastructure standards.
