As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you play a crucial role in bridging development and operations teams, ensuring the seamless delivery of top-notch software products within the cloud ecosystem. As a Senior DevOps Engineer at CoBank, you will be responsible for managing CoBank's AWS footprints through Infrastructure as Code and Pipeline as Code. You will play a critical role in automating and optimizing our infrastructure to ensure smooth deployment and operation of our applications. The Senior DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and manage CoBank's AWS footprints using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps. Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure and application deployment. Collaborate with developers and other cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation of applications. Implement best practices for security, scalability, and reliability in the infrastructure.

  • Manage and maintain CoBank's AWS footprints

  • Monitor and optimize system performance
  • Automate deployment processes
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems
  • Troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure and deployments
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure best practices are being followed
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in DevOps
  • 5 years of experience in DevOps/SRE/Cloud engineering/IT Operations/SysAdmin role required
  • 3 years of experience supporting a cloud service; preferably AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure required
  • Ability to apply independent judgement on most decisions, and to work with minimal guidance. Routinely uses significant judgement on moderate-to-complex business problems. Demonstrates strategic thinking.
  • Experience in team leadership
  • Strong collaboration skills across departments.
  • Advanced experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or other cloud services, reflecting a senior level of expertise.
  • Strong experience with AWS services and infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Any AWS/Azure/GCP Certification (developer, solution architect, networking, infrastructure) (preferred).
