About The Position

Category Labs (formerly known as Monad Labs) is a team of systems engineers and researchers on a mission to design and build at the frontier of decentralized technology. We strive to design and build step-function improvements over existing blockchain solutions. After raising $225M in series A funding, led by Paradigm, we are growing our team.

Requirements

• Requires a Master’s degree in the field of Information Technology, Computer Systems, or a closely related field plus one year of professional experience in DevOps.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in the field of Information Technology, Computer Systems, or a closely related field plus five years of professional experience in DevOps.
• Knowledge of the following is also required: Back-end development language such as Python, Go, or C++.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining infrastructure for a distributed blockchain network.
• Building, testing, monitoring, and deploying code across multiple cloud and hosted environments.
• Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Linux (Fedora/Ubuntu) installations.
• Building testing infrastructure for a system with elements of high-performance computation and distributed systems.
• Maintaining and improving our network infrastructure for clusters of Ethereum-likenodes.
• Analyzing information to determine, recommend, and contribute to observability standards and security.
• Monitoring functioning of equipment to ensure the system operates in conformance with specifications.
• Participate in on-call rotation for production support.
