About The Position

Our client is a world-leading reinsurance and risk management company, delivering comprehensive solutions across insurance, underwriting, and data-driven risk assessment. With a strong focus on innovation and long-term stability, they support clients in addressing complex risks and driving sustainable value in an ever-changing global landscape. We’re looking for a skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure supporting data and analytics platforms. You’ll work closely with development and operations teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing systems.

Requirements

Bachelor’s in Informatics or related field, or equivalent experience
5 years experience in a DevOps role
Strong with Terraform, PowerShell, YAML
Deep Azure experience (IaaS/PaaS), networking, and identity management
Understanding of redundancy, scaling, and policy enforcement
Basic SQL skills
Familiarity with CI/CD, Agile, Scrum
Experience with security best practices and incident response
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills

Nice To Haves

Docker/Kubernetes experience is a plus
Certifications in Azure or DevOps are valued
Strong communication skills in English (German is a plus)
Ability to explain technical solutions in a business context

Responsibilities

Automate infrastructure with Terraform and ARM templates
Build CI/CD pipelines and automation with PowerShell and YAML
Manage Azure IaaS & PaaS resources efficiently
Configure Azure networking: App Gateways, Firewalls, API Management
Monitor infrastructure using Azure tools and third-party observability platforms
Implement OAuth2/OpenID Connect with Entra ID
Govern resources using Azure Policies
Design geo-redundant, highly available systems
Apply basic SQL in deployment and support tasks
Ensure infrastructure security, compliance (e.g., PCI DSS)
Optimize cloud costs using Azure Cost Management tools
OnCall availability (if needed)
Contribute to a collaborative team environment while working independently
Participate in Agile Scrum teams, continuously improving delivery pipelines
