About The Position

B-Stock Solutions is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help automate, develop and maintain the next generation of the company's SaaS infrastructure.

Requirements

6+ years of experience required
3+ years of experience working with Kubernetes
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer-related field or equivalent experience
Proven Linux server experience including writing shell scripts, using the command line, networking & security
Experience with Bash scripting and working knowledge of Python, Java or Ruby
Experience working with Infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
Experience with at least one of git-based SCM Devops platforms such as Gitlab, Jenkins, Teamcity, Bitbucket, Github
Experience with monitoring, reporting , and alerting tools such as ELK stack, DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana
Experience with RHEL-based or Debian-based OS management and best practices
Experience with at least one cloud platform like AWS or GCP
Experience with maintenance and deployment of dockerized applications into the cloud
Experience with building CI/CD pipelines in a multi environment platform
Deep understanding of Internet fundamentals (TCP/IP stack, DNS, Email, Web, CDNs, WAF)
Work Authorization required.

Nice To Haves

Cloud Certification and any other DevOps Certification
Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Unix/Linux (RHCE/UCSE)

Responsibilities

Build out infrastructure and tools while hardening security leveraging your years of Sys Admin experience
Collaborate with developers on software requirements and empower them to self serve as much as possible while developing standards and guardrails to ensure fast, secure and quality deployments. Then automate
Perform system monitoring and maintenance, including system administration on primarily dockerized cloud systems
Tune performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure, including reviewing system and application logs
Support, maintain, and troubleshoot production issues or alerts and improving repeatable and accurate runbooks
Conduct post mortems or Root Cause Analysis on issues or outages and provide call to actions on areas to improve upon like prevention, maintenance and runbooks
Automate creation and administration of user and service accounts
Collaborate with the team on topics such as Network Operations, Incidence Response, Penetration/Security testing
Develop and maintain configuration management solutions (Ansible, Terraform) with capacity planning in mind
Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks
Apply operating system patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities
