The US Vehicle Integration team at Mercedes-Benz is pivotal in establishing the brand's technological leadership in the US luxury market. The team works collaboratively to drive innovation by translating US customer feedback into impactful propositions, focusing on software-defined vehicles and thorough testing across various domains, including infotainment, connected car, E/E systems, and BEV/HEV charging technologies. Together with supporting Mercedes-Benz North America vehicle workshops and operations, their efforts ensure a seamless customer experience that uphold Mercedes-Benz's high standards. Note that upon hire, this position will start from the MBRDNA Technical Center in Long Beach, CA. As noted, the position will be permanently staffed from Atlanta, GA starting in July 2026. After which, it is expected that this position will require 10-15% of travel. The work schedule for this role is planned to start each day in late morning and work until late evening to accommodate the Global Staged Integration testing cycles and project hand-over activities. A typical work schedule may vary slightly and generally could be expected from 11:00am until 8:00 pm.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field of study
  • Bachelors Degree equivalent or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Testing (Manual + Automation)
  • Solid understanding of testing SW systems in at least one field (embedded, backend or mobile)
  • Good knowledge of infotainment and telematics testing and test management tools
  • Scripting Knowledge in any of the below mentioned languages
  • Knowledge in CANoe and vehicle simulation
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and without regular management support to determine tasks, priorities and focus
  • Able to work from Long Beach, CA and relocate to Atlanta, GA in July 2026
  • Ability to work evenings until 8pm
  • Frequent use of speech, vision, hearing, use of hands for computer use, driving and presentations
  • Frequent sitting, standing and reaching with hands
  • Valid Driver's License

Nice To Haves

  • Good Scripting Knowledge in Python/C or C++, CAPL/Powershell
  • Good Understanding in CAN, LIN, SomeIP, Ethernet, SPI, MOST Protocal
  • Knowledge in Automation Framework like Robot Framework, Squish, any Image Processing Technique
  • Few years of experience working with agile teams (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
  • Few years of experience with test automation
  • Hands on Experience in Jira, DOORS Knowledge on Jfrog tool and CLI
  • Knowledge on CI/CD and Jenkins

Responsibilities

  • Lead E2E testing, validation, and verification of telematics component development, ensuring high software maturity, on-time feature delivery, and overall system qualification with a focus on market specific functionality of the Infotainment software.
  • Provide expert technical support to the US Vehicle Integration team by supporting the testing, verification, and validation of telematics components, more specifically pre, and delivering feedback to various development teams, including RD HQ, MBRDNA, and suppliers/business partners.
  • Assist with resolving technical problems, discover and report defects, support documentation and traces, and promptly communicate technical and quality related issues obtained from the testing, validation and verification process.
  • Regularly participate in meetings and test drives, as well as independently plan and execute development and Ad-Hoc testing sessions.
  • Develop and strengthen a trustful working relationship with stakeholders.
  • Ensure testing procedures, test cases, testing environments, special tools, and diagnostic equipment are maintained and configured/revised accordingly with requirements from Germany.
  • Provide support for development workshops and technical support within company, department and respective RD HQ teams.
  • Take initiative to identify, investigate, and communicate high impact change requests/enhancements.
  • Administer Unix-based environments via SSH, performing system modifications, updates, and various management tasks.
  • Integrate new Electronic Control Units (ECUs), encompassing vehicle modification, installation, replacement, on-vehicle software deployment, and calibration for development ECUs.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues, proactively taking ownership of complex challenges to ensure accurate test environment setup and valid testing by thoroughly investigating and implementing effective solutions.
  • Instruct and mentor junior engineers on technical and testing related tasks.
  • Driving Mercedes-Benz prototype vehicles is a regular function for this position.
