Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and eight (8) years' experience in Software Development or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills are a must to be able to move projects through cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical specifications and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business requirements, and process/procedure manuals.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and vendors.
  • Ability to set and clearly articulate an attainable vision for the team and direct the team toward achieving goals.
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members to grow individual skills and abilities.
  • Ability to adjust communication style to collaborate and share with technical staff or business staff.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies, record keeping software, and 401(k) procedures.
  • Proficiency in Jira, Java, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Basic understanding of SQL and MS Access databases.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated leadership experience preferred
  • Project, and Operational Management, preferably in a 401(k) financial services company and at least two years of Scrum Master experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • As Scrum Master, supervises development and testing efforts, ensures completion of projects and evaluates results.
  • As Team Leader or Project manager, participates in evaluation on new software solutions, prepares feasibility analysis and other phase end documentation, and evaluates technical and operational feasibility of alternatives throughout project development.
  • Analyzes production program problems and questions to determine business impact, corrective action and/or contingency actions, or to determine more effective and efficient methods.
  • Provides guidance and coaching to the software development team, identifies training needs, and reviews work of individual team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
