The Senior Developer position at MacKenzie-Childs is a critical role focused on the development, configuration, and support of eCommerce environments within Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience specifically in Salesforce Commerce Cloud, demonstrating a strong ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues while also working on new feature enhancements as the platform evolves. This role requires a deep understanding of both Pipeline and SFRA based architectures, as well as the ability to lead the design and development of complex Salesforce solutions. In this position, the Senior Developer will be responsible for estimating work efforts, determining required resources, and scheduling development tasks. Effective communication with business stakeholders and technology team members is essential to deliver high-quality solutions that align with business objectives. The developer will continuously evaluate the Salesforce environment, looking for opportunities to improve and optimize processes. A significant aspect of this role involves participating in the planning and execution of migrating SiteGenesis (Pipeline) based applications to SFRA. The Senior Developer will serve as a subject matter expert for all aspects of Commerce Cloud, participate in peer code reviews, and engage in regular team stand-ups. Additionally, the creation of technical documentation and process diagrams will be necessary to illustrate the current and future state of the overall system, integrations, and other touch points. Staying updated with the latest Salesforce technologies and best practices is also a key responsibility.
