About The Position

As a Senior Full-Stack Developer on the team, you will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and delivering quality software that is thoughtful and maintainable. Your primary focus will be developing new features leveraging JavaScript, NodeJS, and Vue.js. You’ll tackle emerging issues as they arise, offering technical and process guidance. Additionally, you will play a key role in mentoring other developers to ensure that the team is high-performing and healthy.

Requirements

  • Passionate about software development and delivering large and/or complex solutions in an iterative process.
  • 5+ years of experience in web development technologies such as: Vue, Angular, or React
  • JavaScript/NodeJS
  • Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
  • Possess a solid understanding of Agile principles.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) for both a technical and non-technical audience.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Thorough understanding of what it takes to deliver an application from inception to production.
  • Comfortable mentoring other developers.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science; A combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

  • Build functional software and deliver technical solutions that consistently exceed stakeholder expectations using web and AI technologies.
  • Ensure software and solutions scale well, are cost-effective, and adhere to software development best practices.
  • Provide technical and professional mentoring for team members.
  • Lead projects and complex assignments with broad and ambiguous scope.
  • Write thoughtful code that is maintainable and efficient.
  • Interact directly with stakeholders to understand functional requirements and needs.
  • Demo solutions and communicate status to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Participate in ideation sessions and strategic planning. Help foster a team-first environment grounded on an understanding of and a commitment to the WWT Core Values.
