As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in architecting, automating, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure and containerized application platforms in AWS. You will lead the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps toolchains, ensuring seamless software delivery and operational excellence. This role requires deep expertise in containerization technologies, particularly Docker and AWS ECS, while also fostering a forward-thinking approach toward Kubernetes (EKS) adoption. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance automation, drive innovation, and ensure security and compliance in cloud environments.

  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of AWS-based containerized platforms, focusing on Docker and AWS ECS, with an interest in fostering Kubernetes (EKS) adoption and best practices.
  • Architect and automate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible, enabling scalable, repeatable, and secure cloud environments.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/CloudBees CI, ensuring seamless build, test, and deployment automation.
  • Drive GitOps best practices, helping to elevate and implement declarative infrastructure management through GitHub Enterprise and related workflows.
  • Enhance DevOps toolchain management, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins/CloudBees CI, Artifactory, and Vault.
  • Drive automation efforts to improve infrastructure efficiency, reduce operational overhead, and optimize cloud infrastructure costs.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, security teams, and cloud architects to integrate DevOps best practices, cloud-native solutions, and container security.
  • Implement security best practices in containerized applications, ensuring compliance with IAM, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and HashiCorp Vault for secret management.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership, fostering a DevOps culture of automation, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize containerized environments using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry for observability and performance tuning.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, continuously evaluating and adopting emerging DevOps and cloud-native technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), with a strong emphasis on AWS and containerized environments.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Docker and AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service), with a strong understanding of container orchestration, networking, and security.
  • Experience in managing and deploying containers on AWS Fargate, with an interest in evolving Kubernetes (EKS) expertise.
  • Deep expertise in CI/CD automation, including Jenkins/CloudBees CI, and experience with enterprise DevOps pipelines.
  • Strong GitOps knowledge, with the ability to elevate and implement best practices within GitHub Enterprise.
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible for cloud provisioning and configuration management.
  • Proficiency in Linux administration, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, and security best practices.
  • Extensive experience with DevOps security tools, including HashiCorp Vault for secret management and IAM for access control.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Solid networking knowledge, including AWS VPC design, security groups, IAM policies, and load balancing.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure and deployment issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS + Azure).
  • Experience implementing Kubernetes (EKS) workflows for future expansion.
  • GitOps experience with tools like ArgoCD or Flux.
  • AWS App Mesh, Istio, or Linkerd for microservices networking.
