About The Position

The Desktop Support Technician will provide exceptional technical support to both on-site and remote employees and contractors. This role requires a strong balance of technical expertise and customer service skills, with a passion for technology and helping people. The ideal candidate communicates technical information clearly to users of varying technical skill levels and works collaboratively across teams and locations.

  • Basic understanding of corporate IT systems, infrastructure, and technology solutions
  • Strong ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical users
  • Experience supporting multiple operating systems: Windows Mac OSX Linux distributions (Debian/Ubuntu, RedHat/CentOS, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with computer hardware, mobile devices (iOS & Android), and peripherals such as printers, scanners, and multi-function devices
  • Self-starter who requires minimal supervision and demonstrates strong problem-solving skills
  • Resourceful, customer-focused, and able to thrive in a team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day technical support via ticketing system, email, instant message, and phone
  • Install, configure, support, and upgrade desktop systems, software, peripherals, and related equipment
  • Follow up on open issues to ensure timely resolution and high user satisfaction
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline and automate IT support processes
  • Manage and monitor internal IT assets to maintain accurate inventory records
  • Set up and manage user access, hardware, and systems as part of employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Provide facilities-related IT support, including telecom and internet service providers
  • Support conference room audio/visual equipment as needed
  • Travel to company locations and provide after-hours support when required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
