The Senior Designer will serve as the lead design authority for data center products - setting drafting standards, architecting complex assemblies, and guiding the design team to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of advanced design experience.
  • Design experience in an industrial or HVAC/manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Proficiency with 3D Modeling software, preferably Solid Edge.
  • Experience in electrical cabling design, preferably using AutoCAD Electrical and/or Solid Edge Electrical.
  • Demonstrated leadership in setting design standards and mentoring team members.
  • Expert understanding of mechanical systems relevant to chillers (pumps, heat exchangers, valve trains) and proficiency in GD&T.
  • Associate's degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting, Industrial Design, or a related discipline or equivalent technical/design experience.

Responsibilities

  • Define and enforce best practices for CAD modeling, drawing creation, and BOM management across all data centerproduct lines.
  • Architect system-level designs (i.e. integrated pump/motor assemblies, modular skid layouts) that balance performance, serviceability, and cost.
  • Lead cross-functional design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-serviceability (DFS) workshops.
  • Oversee the consolidation of drawing libraries and standard detail vaults to reduce redundancy and errors.
  • Coach and provide technical direction to mid-and entry- level designers; conduct design audits and skills assessments.
  • Partner with Engineering Management to plan resource loading, tool evaluations, and process improvements.
