About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Designer to join our Buildings, Energy and Infrastructure (BEI) Group in our new Greenville, SC office. In this role you will provide technical and design services as part of a multi-discipline project team to produce electrical design/construction drawings and specifications for institutional, commercial and industrial facilities.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 10 years of experience in drafting and a Vocational certificate or two year degree in Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience using Autocad and/or Revit software is required.
  • More process than results-oriented individual with strong visual and technical skills.
  • Willing communicator and able to ask questions when necessary.
  • Enjoys working alone when required but can work effectively on a project team.
  • Able to complete work consistently with flexibility to accommodate varying project demands.
  • Must maintain a high level of precision and accuracy and be methodical in approach to work.
  • Enjoys working alone when required but can work effectively on a project team.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and perform field survey duties.
  • Must have a level of acceptance and persuasiveness required to effectively deal with other members of the project team.
  • Requires a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Revit software to produce electrical design/construction drawings and specifications for institutional, commercial and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical and design services in support of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunication systems for design projects as part of a multi-discipline project team to produce electrical design/construction drawings and specifications for institutional, commercial and industrial facilities.
  • Will be responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule and communicating with Project Manager, Sr. Electrical Engineer and design team to complete work efficiently.
