Senior Designer, Digital
About The Position
The Studio is looking for a passionate (Sr.) Designer, Digital to join our Digital Studio team to drive the creative experience on okta.com with a knack for creating innovative, product storytelling digital experiences. You are an expert in digital and web properties, love solving product stories through visual and UI designs, enjoy working with design systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to get projects launched. Reporting to the Digital Design Manager, you will be working with visual designers, UX, copywriters, digital strategists, and brand designers to deliver digital design solutions against creative briefs. You will collaborate with web producers and developers to launch innovative designs that tell Okta’s brand and product story on our websites. This role will be instrumental in collaborating with the Design Manager, to craft interactive and smart solutions that are on the cutting edge of digital designs. The right person for this role will be passionate about digital design and highly motivated to bring thoughtful ideas to the table.
Requirements
- BA or BFA in Art/Design or related field
- Extraordinary design skills
- World-class portfolio of work
- Strong communication presentation skills; proven ability to present to executives/leaders
- Highly organized and able to work collaboratively across multiple projects
- 5+ years experience designing in a digital creative agency or client-side group; B2B / tech experience is a plus
- Expert knowledge of Figma
- Expert knowledge of modern prototyping tools like Framer, Figma sites, etc.
- Experience with high-fidelity prototyping
- Motion design skills for web
- Familiar with the creative process, partnering with UX designers, copywriters, web production, and development teams
- Experience working in AEM and AI tools a plus
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, a big plus for JavaScript or other frameworks
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Design Manager, copywriters, UX designers, and extended teams on conceptual development, design and execution across key digital creative briefs
- Partnering with other senior designers on the team to elevate work with innovative prototyping (interaction, motion, and visual design)
- Clear understanding of project briefs and ability to craft thoughtful design solutions
- Articulate and present ideas in a clear and concise manner; accept constructive feedback and execute against it efficiently
- Ensure the consistency of the brand and the highest quality of design across all projects
- Natural curiosity and passion to learn about and share insights on design and industry trends
- Think big while operating at the lowest level of detail
