Here, you’ll be close to the action of dreaming up and bringing to life the Target-owned brands that surprise and gratify guests. The role of the Design Strategy & Concept team within the Home OBPDP organization is to provide both the strategy and inspirational direction necessary to both the assortment and design process within the Home Pyramid. The ideal candidate has an in-depth knowledge of the Home space, a keen eye for identifying market trends and consumer shifts, and is able to craft and articulate visual brand stories that clearly tie back to brand and pyramid level strategies. As a Sr. Designer for the Home Design Strategy & Concept team, you will conduct consumer, industry and product research, leveraging those insights to influence Owned Brand identity and create seasonal brand concepts that drive both enterprise and Owned Brand strategy. You’ll play an integral part of the larger design org., closely collaborating with design teams across all categories, and influencing peers and leaders. In addition to driving the creation of seasonal brand concepts, you will act as a brand captain for one of our anchor home brands, Threshold or Room Essentials, playing a key role in concept execution from ideation to go to market through design execution and connected storytelling.
