About The Position

The Senior Design Analyst will possess advanced expertise as a designer/checker in structural, mechanical, controls, and electrical equipment systems design and layout. This role requires a broad knowledge of technical applications, maintenance, operation, and clearance constraints, with a strong focus on adhering to industry standards and relevant specifications to ensure accuracy, quality, and completeness.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree, trade school diploma or equivalent technical experience. Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 12 or more years' experience or equivalent with the primary responsibilities inclusive of mechanical component and assembly drawings and the creation of bills of materials.
  • Experience using computer-aided drafting principles, geometric tolerancing fundamentals, and established design standards to create mechanical designs for ProEnergy Services manufacturing.
  • Experience with CAD Software (Solidworks, Inventor, or NX preferred)
  • Technical competence including understanding software, hardware, networks, etc.
  • Must read, write and speak fluent English.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check

Responsibilities

  • Review all designer drawings including layouts and section views ensuring accurate BOM's, callouts, weld symbols, dimensions, and GD&T
  • Review dimensions and ensure components are dimensioned adequately to minimize tolerance stack-ups
  • Perform non-technical drawing reviews for compliance with standards for borders, blocks, text, CAD standards, notes, callouts, and view requirements to adequately depict the design intent
  • Perform design validation through tolerance stack analysis and calculations.
  • Demonstrate a high-level of proficiency in ASME Y14 series of standards
  • Apply advanced engineering principles to Computer-Aided Design (CAD) systems with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Develop innovative design solutions to address complex engineering challenges.
  • Lead design teams, providing mentorship and guidance to junior designers to foster their growth and development.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills, with an emphasis on guiding and mentoring design teams.
  • Display proficiency in conflict resolution and negotiation to manage design discussions and challenges effectively.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with diverse stakeholders, influencing decision-making processes to achieve optimal design outcomes.
