General Dynamics Mission Systems has a need for a Senior Engineering Program Manager located in Bloomington, MN. Duties and Tasks: Leads the planning and ensures monitoring and control for assigned development programs Responsible for Cost, Schedule, and Technical performance for all engineering efforts Ensures all project deliverables are developed with high quality and delivered on time Manages the engineering related risks and opportunities of the program Conducts monthly Engineering Status Reviews Manages the resolution of technical issues Ensures that team members are recognized for their contributions Takes immediate & decisive action in dealing with technical & performance issues Assists in Proposal and ROM development

  • Leads the planning and ensures monitoring and control for assigned development programs
  • Responsible for Cost, Schedule, and Technical performance for all engineering efforts
  • Ensures all project deliverables are developed with high quality and delivered on time
  • Manages the engineering related risks and opportunities of the program
  • Conducts monthly Engineering Status Reviews
  • Manages the resolution of technical issues
  • Ensures that team members are recognized for their contributions
  • Takes immediate & decisive action in dealing with technical & performance issues
  • Assists in Proposal and ROM development
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • 8 years project management experience leading hardware and software development teams
  • 5 years technical experience; preferrably with embedded systems
  • Significant experience using Microsoft Project
  • Knowledge of waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
  • Proven communication skills
  • Strong leadership & mentoring skills
  • PMP Certification
  • High impact leader know for getting things done
  • Agile/scrum master experience
  • EVMS experience
